"A divine link between one’s spiritual conscience and that of the supreme spiritual soul of the universe. A link which through compassion and light heals oneself and also helps that soul to heal others".
Reiki is a universal Love and light. That is all. It’s where we begin to understand that true healing begins with ourselves. And healing ourselves begins with love. It’s where we begin to recognize our natural ability to heal through loving touch. Everything in the universe, including you and me is made up of these elements. So when talking about the collective universal consciousness, It is the culmination of all the great ascendant masters and guides, of all its forms of god and goddess; it is the cosmos the collective represents the is five elements in a perfect state is equal to Rai-ki – life force energy or individual consciousness,
Reiki is not a religion. It is a personal encounter with the divine – Independent or any church, sacked or holy writing, Reiki is, but it supports and bring about consciousness of whatever you believe in, Reiki brings the deepest connection between the individual and the Universal Love through the power of touch. We have a Universal Memory, a memory so old and deep that we feel it, but we know not from where it comes. It is our Universal Memory of the power of touch. In this memory, we remember that we have the power to heal with only our touch.
Upper portian of the symbol represents ‘rain’. The middle part stands for 3 opened mouths and the lower section means ‘sorcerer’ or ‘shaman’. ie. The shaman aligns the 3 parts of his being (the body (inner child), the mind (middle/ rational ‘conscious’ self) and the soul (higher self) - with their desire for a mutual goal, the rain. This feat requires the power of love, which wants to support truth, beauty and kindness, as well as the receptiveness of the individual parts of the personal self. It also has the desire to improve personal situations and that of the people around us.
Spirit, soul, heart, intention, mood, termperament, atmosphere (quality that surounds a person, play or work of art).
Older version of Ki character, the upper portion (without the slanted cross) symbolizes cloud-like vapour. This can be interpreted as water that has been transformed in the spiritual sense and rises to the heavens. As we all know, vapour rising from the earth leads to the formation of clouds and ultimately rain. The rain returns to the earth, the material realm, to nourish it.
Statement by Chinese classic Lei-zi “... What is spiritual, is part of the heavens. What is physical, is part of the earth. What belongs to heaven is pure and fleeting. What belongs to the earth is turbid and sticky. When the spirit leaves the form, both return to their true nature.” - meaning that life ends when the soul belonging to heaven, the essence of a human being’s spiritual nature, detaches from its material form, the body.
Parts of the soul may rise to the heavens like vapor that has been freed from the bonds of its material connectedness through the warmth of the sun. It can rise from the ground to the bright expanse of the heavens, back to its origin in order to seek counsel and refresh itself in the source of life. Then, it will be strengthened and empowered to have an influence according to the wishes of the creative force in order to shape and regenerate life on the material level in a spiritual way.
Mencius (Master Meng/ Meng-Tse, one of the most important students of the great Confucius) “What we understand to be the life force (Chi) is something of the the highest greatness, the highest strength. If it is nourished by the right things and not harmed, it will create the mediation between the invisible and visible world. What we understand to be the life force belongs together with duty and with the meaning of life. Without these 2, it can only atrophy. It is something that is created by the continual exercise of duty and not something that we seize through one single act of duty.”
By adding a large amount of energy to matter, the spiritual/ devine components within it are strengthened. This principle is successfully applied in Taoist yoga, Indian Tantra, Eastern and Western Alchemy, and in Reiki.
Chinese Classic, Chuang-Tzu (The True Book of The Southern Land of Blossoms) “Human Beings are born through the gathering of strength (Chi). What causes the strength to be gathered? It must be suplemented by “Rei/ Chinese: Ling”.. Life consists of strength (Chi). When Chi is dispersed, life ends. There is only one life force in the universe.”
So KI (Life force energy, Individual consciousness, the field that radiates from a human being’s soul, ie. you) is also made up of these elements. If this field is weakened or blocked, then it can no longer keep the body (the physical body is your tool which you need to keep healthy in order to make the most of this life) in a state of liveliness. It becomes afflicted and ill, lacking in orientation and strength. The soul in this body is in the process of forgetting what it really is, where it comes from and to where it will return.
When we are born we are balanced, pure and clean energies (reason for children being able to experince the spiritual realm, seeing angels, having imaginary friends) as we grow we connect more to the earth, forming attachments, and so disconnect from the higher consciousness, causing blockages and imbalances in ourselves..
This results in us (well, some of us) searching for this balanced state, the need to be healthy, to find the purpose of being here, to bring darkness to light, to remind our soul of its true nature to again become orientated.
Reiki is a special healing energy, Ki, that is guided directly by the higher power which could be
the Supreme Being,
The Universal Mind,
All That Is,
The Great Spirit ...
Reiki is not a religion, it is a personal encounter with the Devine - independant of any church, sect or holy writing! Reiki is! But it suppports and brings about consciousness of whatever you believe in.
No harm can be done and it always works for the positive benefit of the client.
It knows exactly what and where to heal, it knows exactly where the negative Ki exists in the person’s subtle energy system. It will flow to these areas where it balances this negative Ki by raising the vibration until the negative Ki cannot hold on to the area it is attached to and is released.
The negative Ki can be reprogrammed by the Reiki energy and transformed into positive Ki which restores and maintains health.
When the body is weak, from a healing crisis or extended illness, Reiki can provide the body with a very nurturing supply of Ki that helps the organs return to healthy functioning.
On a deeper level, Reiki can also reprogram the persons subconscious mind, releasing negative thoughts, feelings and memories and even balancing Karma, thus healing at a level of cause and creating a permanent healing.
The ability to perform Reiki comes from receiving an attunement, rather then developing the ability over time and practise.
All Reiki techniques are part of lineage, having been passed from teacher to student through the attunement process, starting with Doc. Usui who first learned to channel the technique.
Reiki is guided by the higher power that knows what vibration or combination of vibrations to have and how to act, it does not require that one guides the energy with the mind.
Reiki can do no harm.
Ki is effected by the mind and can be directed by the mind. It can be sent to heal and help others, but it can also be sent to cause problems and even create illness. It is the positive Ki, created and directed by the subconscious mind, that empowers all organs of the body and keeps them healthy.
Negative thoughts can come from ones own mind, or from past lives (Karma) or can be received from others. These thoughts attract and generate negative Ki which can find its way into out subtle energy fields through weaknesses in our auras and chakras, which if not looked after starts working its way into our physical bodies, limiting healthy Ki and restricting the functioning of the bodily organs.
Due to use of free will, we live in a world where a full range It all starts with a thought. of experience can take place from the very positive to the very negative. Because we have limited awareness and understanding, we do not always make the best choices. Sometimes we act out of fear, often selfish egos come into play and begins directing our thoughts, feelings and actions. When this happens, we move away from wholeness and create imbalances and distress that have a negative effect on ourselves and those around us. When we allow our lives to be directed by our spiritual core then healing takes place, our lives move towards harmony, joy and peace. We end up see/sawing back and forth between wholeness and discord.
But there is a another part of the universe, which is really just a state of mind, where only wholeness, harmony, peace, love and joy exist. This involves surrendering completely to the higher power. The higher dimension has been reconized by every religion and spiritual path. Young children are aware of it while most adults only glimpse at it from time to time, if at all. Only a few have entered permanently in the physical body. This higher dimension is where Reiki energy comes from, where all is at one with the higher power.
The great beauty and value of Reiki is that it connects us to this part of the universe where all is guided by the wisdom, love and peace. When we receive a Reiki treatment, we get a taste of this higher dimension. The path that opens up ahead of Reiki practioners leads to the continuous surrounding and guidance of love, beauty, wisdom, peace and grace in every aspect of our mind, lives, our entire beings. As we discover this deeper intention for ourselves and open more and more to it, our lives will be transformed.
Everyone knows that electric currents flow through the body, the body regulates itself by the currents flowing from the brain through the nervous system which connects every organ and tissue in the body, currents also flow from the heart through the circulatory system via the saline solution of the blood. Over 50,000 miles of blood vessels allow the ‘heart electricity’ to every part of the body. Electric currents flow in and between all the cells in the body as many of the cells actually contain liquid crystals. All crystals produce piezoelectric effects when pressure is placed on them. Therefore the liquid crystals are continuously generating electric currents. And these are just a few...
Whenever you have an electric current flowing through a conductor, a magnetic field surrounds the conductor. The electric currents flowing in human beings generate magnetic fields called biomagnetic fields that penetrate and surround the human body. The heart has the strongest biomagnetic field and has been measured at a distance of 15 feet, all other organs have their own biomagnetic fields which pulsate at various frequencies and interact with eachother. An organ will have a specific frequency when operating at a heathy level and will move away from this level when experiencing imbalance. The sum of all the biomagnetic fields form a large aggregate biomagnetic field that surrounds the body which is one of the main components of the aura.
These biomagnetic fields directy effect other fields around the body, ie of another, this effect can influence the wellbeing of each person as well as the functioning of the organs and tissues.
Herbert Frohlich (researcher) explains “An assembly of cells, as in a tissue or organ, will have certain collective frequencies that regulate important processes, such as cell devision. Normally these control frequencies will be very stable. If, for some reason, a cell shifts its frequency, entraining signals from neighbouring cells will tend to reinstall the correct frequency. However, if a sufficient number of cells get out of step, the strength of the system’s collective vibrations can decrease to the point where stability is lost. Loss of coherence can lead to to disease or disorder”. This concurs with the metaphysical concept that illness starts first in the aura or biomagnetic field before developing in the physical body.
Receiving an attunement is a very special and personal experience. It can not be adeuately defined. Everyone will have a different story to tell afterwards.
Just like a radio being tuned into a certain frequency for a clear sound, the attunment tunes your frequencies to a level where you can fully receive Rei.
(THE RAINBOW BRDIGE or WHEELS THAT HEAL):
A chakra is a center of organization that receives, assimilates and expresses life force energy. The word ‘chakra’ literally translates as ‘wheel’ or ‘disk’ and refers to a spinning sphere of bioenergetic energy branching forward from a subtle energy channel in the spine. The channel is made up of 3 parts: the Shushumna at the core of the spine, the most important energy channel; and the Ida and Pingala that flow back and forth around the outside of the Sushumna. This channel distributes energy throughout the subtle energy system. There are 7 of these wheels stacked in this column of energy that starts from the base of the spine (root chakra) to the top of the head (crown chakra). The frequency and complexity of the energy in each chakra increases in each successive chakra. The root chakra has very basic, dense energy (making it easier to see) where the crown chakra has very refined energy. The chakras are responsible for creating the various kinds of consciousness operating within our subtle energy systems and are also connected to the complete spectrum of human experience. There are also minor chakras in the hands, feet, fingertips and shoulders. Chakras can also be thought of as points where the soul connects with the physical body.
Understanding the chakras can be very helpful when giving Reiki treatments as any blocks or negative energies that can lodge in the chakras need to be released in order for healing to take place.

The act of bringing Dharma in your life. The sanskrit for Dharma means law. In Buddhist terminology, dharma means the teachings laid down by Buddha (take action with divine consciousness and compassion).
This shows the spiritial path that should be followed with Reiki. It aids the practioner in finding him or herself as it appeals to us to thoroughly scrutinize our own behavior and give up senseless habits. When we live the Reiki principles, they become our guiding, ethical light.
I show my attitude with gratitude.
Gratitude means recognition of the special grace, the divine blessing received in everything that is given to us, no matter how small or large it is. If we accept from our hearts, we will understand that the right things will always come to us at the right time.
It builds the root chakra/ the base which has a direct and freeing influence on the crown chakra.
I face my anger with awareness.
Anger is the way in which aggressive energy expresses itself when it is short-circuited, therefore it is separated from constructive action. When we feel anger within ourselves, we should get to the bottom of this feeling as soon as possible, face it, meditate over it, deal with it here and now. Then we should think about how this power can be meaningfully transformed.
It stems with the solar plexus which has a direct influence on the 3rd eye.
I face my worry with awareness.
This life principle deals with the power of fear. If we take a closer look at fear, we can see that it is just a gaurdian, but many people make it the ruler of their lives. We need to remember that there are no worries in the present, only past or future. Worry takes us away from living in the present.
In a certain respect, worries are similar to anger. Meditation, contemplation, intuition can help us find the actual, real and personal reasons. This allows us to translate the basic energy caught in the worries and fears into constructive, meaningful actions, which will ultimately free us. We need to ask ourselves exactly what we fear. In the light of consciousness the cause of fear will either turn out to be unreal or right action is realised to remove it.
It stems from the hara chakra which has a direct influence on the throat chakra.
I do good and honest work.
If we do not seriously involve ourselves in our work, working hard on ourselves within the scope of our work and filling out our place in the world as well as possible, then we cannot find the way to ourselves during our working day and we cannot take our own path. This means that much time is uselessly wasted and lost. When we consider our occupation or profession as our calling, then we will do good work and treat our business partners and customers the way they deserve to be treated: as the people who make it possible for us to take our path to the light. This life principle reminds us to truly get involved in life, not waste time and use our opportunites.
Whatever I am doing, sharing, learning, experiencing, giving, should come from honesty. When acting out of self you create your own bad emotions and obstacles, stay true to who you are.
I give love and support to every soul on this planet.
This life principle calls upon us to recognize and honor the divine in others. When we perceive the creative force in everything and learn to respect its workings, we can take one step further and recognize ourselves in the many mirrors and feel the flame of life within ourselves.
